Pennink Returns at NHMS
LOUDON, NH — Rowan Pennink will return to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for the F.W. Webb 100 Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Pennink skipped the most recent race at Bristol Motor Speedway, while Riverhead Raceway was rained out. It will be his first start for the No. 93 Monk Mechanics Hand Cleaner Chevrolet since Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in August.
“We’ve been struggling a little bit with the 93, so we’re going to take Bristol off,” Pennink said last month. “….We’ll be back for some races at the end of the year.”
Pennink was 14th fastest at 29.665/128.394 in the first practice session. He improved to seventh at 29.106/130.86 in final practice.
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour qualifying is at 5:30 p.m. Pennink will race Kelly Iverson’s No. 99 SK Modified® at Stafford Motor Speedway tonight as well.
