PRACTICE: Brunnhoelzl, Seuss Lead the Way
Top Two In Standings Each Lead Session At Southern National
LUCAMA, N.C. – The top two drivers in the current points standings led the way in each practice session for the Southern National 150 at Southern National Speedway on Saturday.
Points leader Andy Seuss led first practice with a fast time of 14.650 seconds (98.294 mph) which was fastest overall between the two 30 minutes sessions. Second-place Brunnhoelzl led the way in final practice with a fast lap of 14.745 seconds which was good for second fastest overall.
Burt Myers was just .001 behind Brunnhoelzl in the final session at 14.746 (97.654 mph) for third fastest overall with Spencer Davis fourth overall (14.795/97.330).
Kyle Ebersole was second fastest in the first session and fifth overall (14.843/97.015) to complete the the five.
There was only one caution flag thrown between the two sessions with J.R. Bertuccio, the defending race winner from Southern National in the spring, in a single-car spin in the first session.
Thomas Stinson also suffered a mechanical issue and was forced to withdraw from the event.
Qualifying for the Southern National 150 is slated to begin at 4:50 p.m. with the race slated to start at 7:45 p.m.
