QUALIFYING: Myers Jumps to the Front
Career Poles Leader Wins Second Of Season
LUCAMA, N.C. – The second half resurgance of the 2014 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour continues for Burt Myers.
Myers captured his second Coors Light Pole Award of the season and second at Southern National Motorsports Park Saturday afternoon during qualifying for the Southern National 150. It was the 28th career pole for Myers.
Myers won the top spot with a fast lap of 14.624 seconds (98.468 mph) to outdistance Andy Seuss who followed closely in second at 14.643 seconds (98.341).
Leading Rookie of the Year contender Spencer Davis followed in third (14.666/98.186) with George Brunnhoelzl III (14.697/97.979) and Kyle Ebersole (14.707/97.913) completing the top five.
Starting sixth through 10th will be defending Southern National race winner J.R. Bertuccio, Joe Ryan Osborne, Bobby Measmer Jr., Danny Bohn and David Calabrese.
Start time for the Southern National 150 will be 7:45 p.m.
