Loudon, NH (September 20, 2014) – Making his track debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Jeb Burton, driver of the No. 13 Estes Toyota Tundra, rallied back from a lap down, in the 19th position, to finish 12th in Saturday afternoon’s UNOH 175.
Starting 15th, Burton complained of a “tight” Toyota Tundra in the early stages of the 175-lap event and fell as far back as 19th, one lap down to the race leader before coming to pit road for a scheduled stop under green at lap 71 for four tires and fuel, including a chassis adjustment to aid in the handling. Burton maintained a position inside the top-20 until the race’s first caution flag was displayed at lap 102 for an accident in Turn 4. Crew chief Jeriod Prince made a race changing call when he opted to keep the Estes driver out on the race track to take the wave around, ultimately getting Burton back on the lead lap for the lap 106 restart.
Burton continued to rally on the race track, working his way up to the 12th position with 50 laps remaining and never looked back. The Halifax, Va. native would cross the stripe after 185.15 miles in the 12th position behind race winner Cole Custer.
