Fourth NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Race to be Added to the 2015 Schedule
Thompson Speedway Motorpsorts Park will be expanding their relationship with the Whelen Modified Tour next season, as they add a fourth race to the schedule in June 2015. They will once again hold the opening and championship events for the series, as well as their Budweiser 150 race in August.
“We’re ecstatic,” TSMP General Manager, Josh Vanada said. “The Modified Tour is a great division for us. We love having them here. We’ve got a rich history. We’ve held the championship race here for the last 15 of 16 seasons and 21 times out of 30 since the tour started. We’re glad to have some one local like [Chester based] Whelen behind the company. It’s a great Connecticut partnership for us to hold four races here.”
TSMP will be confirming the rest of their 2015 schedule by December 1st.
