Hickory Motor Speedway Releases 2015 Schedule
Nov. 7, 2014 – Newton, NC — Hickory Motor Speedway has just released their schedule for the 2015 race season, and it is packed full of excitement. The Historic Race Track will open up their 65th season of racing on March 7, 2015 with the ZLOOP Spring Classic, and the track will once again be headlined each week with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Bojangles’ Late Models.
Paramount KIA has renewed their sponsorship of the popular Paramount KIA “Big 10” Racing Challenge, which provides 10 races with 100-lap feature events that provide additional purse money and a points championship of its own.
Hickory Motor Speedway will continue promoting events for the Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Super Trucks, 4-Cylinders, Renegades and the Sportsman Racing Classics during their weekly events.
The PASS Super Late Models will return to America’s Most Famous Short Track for two events in 2015, including the Easter Bunny 150 on April 4 and the prestigious Mason-Dixon Meltdown on Nov. 21.
A new twist to the 2015 schedule will include a popular visit by the powerful NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour on Saturday, Oct. 3. Hickory Motor Speedway last hosted the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour in 2011 for a spring event that was enjoyed by everyone.
Also on tap will be two events for the popular KOMA Unwind Southern Modifieds Series on March 21 and a special Friday night event on July 3 that will conclude with fireworks. The KOMA Unwind Southern Modifieds Series began at Hickory Motor Speedway last season and provided some great racing for their events.
The track will play host to the X1R Cars Pro Cup again in 2015 with two dates. The X1R Cars Pro Cup has had a long history at The Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars and will return on March 14 and Oct. 10.
The Knights of Destruction will return on July 25 and is sure to deliver excitement and thrills for all that attend. This event provides a fun filled night of special racing including a school bus race, skid plate race, chain race, and much more followed by a night of fireworks.
Hickory Motor Speedway will also host the 3rd Annual Finish Line Heating & Air 100-lap Limited Late Model event on September 25, which produced some of the most exciting Limited Late Model racing in the country.
The season will also include the running of the Bobby Isaac Memorial race on Labor Day weekend, a very special tradition at the legendary track, honoring the late Bobby Isaac. The Fall Brawl will be held on October 24 and has been increased to a 200-lap feature event for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Bojangles’ Late Models.
For the first time, Hickory Motor Speedway will offer 20 trackside-parking spaces for the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race season. Those interested in purchasing a trackside-parking space can contact the speedway office at (828)-464-3655 for more information.
Ticket prices will remain the same in 2015 (excluding special events) for weekly NASCAR events ($11 for adults, $9 for seniors and teens, with kids 12 and under free).
Hickory Motor Speedway management will continue to work hard for the sponsors, fans, and competitors, to provide a level field of competition and great entertainment in a family oriented atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you at the track in 2015.
