We Are Racing: Accord Speedway Is Ready For The Gobbler Event On Saturday!
After two full days of work following Wednesday’s winter storm, Accord Speedway is ready for the ‘Gobbler’ tomorrow. Race teams from Canada to Delaware and all points in between will converge on the quarter-mile oval for the event. On the card are Modifieds (50 laps, $7,117.11 to win), Open vs. Crate 602 Sportsman (25 laps, $1,500 to win plus Crate bonuses), the Ron Wright Memorial for Pure/Street Stocks ($600-plus …to win) and Slingshots ($350-plus to win). More than $2,000 in lap money has been raised for tomorrow’s program! There is a long list of special awards and incentives for drivers in all divisions. Pit gates open at 10 a.m. Grandstand gates open at 11 a.m. The drivers’ meeting takes place at noon, with hot laps at 12:20 p.m. and racing at 1 p.m.
Prices are as follows for the grandstands: $22 (Adults), $20 (Seniors 65 and over) and $5 (Kids 11 and under). Pit admission is $35, with no license required.
