Steve Masse NWMT Hopeful
Steve Masse would like to move up to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour with his own car. The Bellingham, MA driver is seeking sponsorship to be able to add races to his schedule. Masse made his debut in 2012 at Stafford Motor Speedway driving the Boehler No. 3.
A former Sunoco Modified regular at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, Masse has competed on the Valenti Modified Racing Series since 2008. Despite running part-time, he has recorded nine wins at: Beech Ridge, Lee USA, Stafford, Thunder Road, Waterford. The No. 13 El Gee Restaurant Equipment car won at Seekonk and the Thompson World Series last year. Masse was second to Keith Rocco in laps led with 213, according to NERaceStats.com. Masse also competed in the Tri-Track Open Modified Series events.
Masse said he would continue with the VMRS if he cannot find the necessary sponsorship.
