Town Set for NESST Tour – YankeeRacer.com

Town Set for NESST Tour

Bryan Town of Charlestown, NH will be racing the North East Street Stock Tour full-time. Town will race off weeks in a backup car at Claremont (NH) Speedway. He also has offers for Late Model and Modified rides, but has not committed to either.

“I think it’s a great idea as there are many of these cars around and every track has their version of a Street Stock,” Town said. “Hopefully it will create a uniform set of rules for a Street Stock throughout New England much like ACT  has with the Late Model. There seems to be great interest in the series and looks promising.”

The area’s first touring series for the popular class will run eight races during its first campaign, with one race to be annonuced Seekonk will run the inaugural race on May 30. Speedway 51 (AKA: Riverside) will host two races,  along with Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park’s oval and road course configurations. Lee USA will host a race, along with Speedway 95 in Bangor for the longest race of the season, the 100-lap, $3,000 to win Ickey Door Memorial.

“I like it, good mix of tracks. Hopefully on its second year it will include a few others in New England. The road course really stands out as I don’t think there has ever been anything like that in the past. It will definitely be a very important points race and an absolute blast.”

A former Claremont Street Stock champion, Town won the 2007  title in his last full-time effort. He raced Late Models up until 2014, when he returned to the Street Stocks. Town is supported by his team, father Randy, uncle Ace and wife Sara.

The driver of the No. 51 Neat Sweet and Discreet Cleaning Services/Route 12 Auto Sales is looking for the winner’s circle, where he won last year at Claremont and Monadnock (NH) Speedway.

“A win would be awesome and a solid top five in points are what I’m aiming for.”
