Toy State Ventures into NASCAR with Tommy Baldwin Racing

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 1, 2015) – With the announcement that Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) has signed driver Alex Bowman comes the next logical question, ‘who is the sponsor?’

Tommy Baldwin Racing is pleased to officially announce that Toy State has signed as primary sponsor for the No. 7 Chevrolet. A new sponsor to the sport of NASCAR, the Nikko/Toy State sponsorship begins at Daytona International Speedway and will continue for the first five races of the 2015 Sprint Cup Series.

Toy State’s extensive portfolio features their flagship Road Rippers® and Nikko™ brands. The company also boasts brands that include Hot Wheels™, WWE® and James Bond 007™ lights & sound and radio controlled vehicles, as well as Cat® and Cat® Preschool construction toys.

“Bringing a new sponsor to the sport is considered to be one of the biggest challenges for race teams,” said owner Tommy Baldwin Jr. “We are proud that Toy State has taken this path to re-launch the Nikko R/C brand. They are a perfect fit for NASCAR and our fans.”

“For nearly six decades, Toy State and Nikko-branded toys have created the thrill of auto racing through imaginative play,” said Andy Friess, senior vice president of global marketing. “We’re now taking these thrills from fantasy to reality through our sponsorship with Tommy Baldwin Racing.”

Further details on the 2015 season will continue to be announced over the next several days as #TBR7in7 continues.
