Reutzel Takes on All Stars in Ocala

CLUTE, Texas (February 4, 2015) – It’s new territory for Clute, TX, Sprint Car driver Aaron Reutzel.

Reutzel is set for his first racing action at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL, aboard the Shark-powered BC Fundz/Basic One Services No. 87 Triple X Sprint Car as he also makes his first start with the All Star Circuit of Champions, the traveling Sprint Car series recently acquired by NASCAR star Tony Stewart.

This weekend’s All Star set at Ocala, scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, marks the first of three Florida weekends for Reutzel with ASCS National action kicking off at Tampa’s East Bay Raceway Park on February 19-21 before moving up I-75 to Bubba Raceway Park on February 27-28.

Reutzel hopes to continue the 410-ci success that he enjoyed at Yuma’s Winter Heat action aboard the Wren Motorsports/Momentum Racing Suspensions machine in this weekend’s All Star triple, with each feature offering up $5,000 to win.

“If nothing else, it should give us some good laps to get prepared for the ASCS race later in the month,” Reutzel said.  “And hopefully we can come out with some good finishes this weekend, maybe even a win or two.”

With this weekend’s set of 410-ci events on the slate before diving headlong into 360-ci action in pursuit of the $60,000 Lucas Oil ASCS National championship with the East Bay lid lifter in two weeks, Reutzel brings some momentum into the weekend aboard the Danny Sander Construction/ButlerBuilt machine.

Reutzel opened the New Year with his initial handful of 410-ci starts and made the most of them, earning a front row starting berth on three occasions before closing out the five-race mini-series at Cocopah Speedway with a $12,000 triumph in the Lone Star Hydro Maintenance/Wright Way Logistics entry on January 10.

“The 410 is a lot different for sure,” Reutzel says.  “I like it though, it really brings the driver into it, it’s definitely a lot of fun to drive.”

Now, 26 days later, he’ll try to make it two wins in a row as Florida Winter Nationals action kicks off with the All Stars at Bubba Raceway Park on Thursday night.

For those unable to catch all the action in person, live PPV of this weekend’s All Star Circuit of Champions events from Bubba Raceway Park is available atwww.xsan.tv.

2015 Quick Stats:  5 races, one win, three front-row feature starts.

Up Next: Winged 410-ci Sprint Car action at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL, this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
