Looking for More New Winners at Grandview Speedway on Saturday
THERE HAS BEEN A VARIETY OF FEATURE WINNERS AT GRANDVIEW THIS SEASON. WHO WILL VISIT VICTORY LANE IN THE NASCAR STOCK CAR RACES THIS SATURDAY?
BECHTELSVILLE, PA – (April 15, 2015) — It is anyone’s guess as to who will make it to victory lane in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series stock car racing events this Saturday (April 18) at Grandview Speedway.
So far this season there have been six feature races presented and there have been six different winners. It will be interesting to see if there will again be new winners when the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, and Sportsman stock cars are all seen in action on the one-third-mile, banked clay oval on Saturday night starting at 7 p.m.
Feature winners so far this season have been Duane Howard and Kyle Weiss in the Modifieds. Weiss winning at Grandview for the first time since 2006. In the BRC Late Models the wins have gone to Wayne Pfeil and multi-time champion Chuck Schutz. The Sportsman division has had Brett Kressley and first time winner Jeff Sechrist in victory lane.
There are dozens of racers capable of winning feature events at Grandview on any given Saturday night and there just may be three new winners to add to the list when the racing action is completed.
A full slate of qualifying events will be presented leading up to a 30-lap feature for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and 25-lap features for the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars on Saturday night. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet featuring racers from each division taking place right outside the main gate. This week fans will get to meet Jeff Sechrist, Dan Green, and Ronnie Krex. Warm-ups get started about 6 p.m. with actual racing action set for 7 p.m.
Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free. Active military with proper ID are admitted free. Pit admission is $30 and a NASCAR license is required.
When the racing action is complete fans are invited into the pit area to collect autographs, take pictures, and get an up-close look at the variety of race cars.
A new edition of the popular track magazine Inside Groove is available each week throughout the stands and at the main novelty stand.
Grandview Speedway offers a wide variety of concession items including French fries, pizza, sausage sandwiches, Hatfield hot dogs and so much more. A novelty standing is located at the main entrance and is stocked with t-shirts, hats, Gary Silverman videos of Grandview action plus other items.
On Sunday (April 19th) the first of a series of Outlaw Enduro events will be presented starting at 1 p.m. Included in the action will be Big Cars and Small Cars each racing 150 laps. Ladies race goes 20 laps. Blast from the Past Vintage Cars run in two 15 lap races. Pits open at 9 a.m. and pit fee is $30. Front spectator gate opens at noon. Adult admission is $10 with children 12 and under admitted free. Two lucky youngsters will have the chance to wave the green flag for each 150-lap feature.
Grandview Speedway, considered one of the most successful weekly short track racing operations in the nation, is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100, in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown.
