North East Mini Stock Tour Season Preview
Lee (NH) USA Speedway will host the North East Mini Stock Tour season opener Sunday with the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models. The 10 race schedule will visit Beech Ridge (ME) Motor Speedway, New London-Waterford (CT) Speedbowl, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Oxford (ME) Plains Speedway, Seekonk (MA) Speedway, and Thompson (CT) Speedway Motorsports Park.
The NEMST will visit NHMS with the AIM Recycling PASS Super Late Models July 4-5. Saturday will be a practice day. Sunday will have both divisions practice, qualify, and race.
“Tom and I have been working together since about November to get the dates at Oxford, Maine and Tom have had a good conversation channel open since the end of the last year.” NEMST Promoter Bob Guptill said.
The North East Mini Stock Tour will make its debut on the road course at Thompson on September 11-12. The tour has raced on the road course at New Hampshire before.
“It’s really going to showcase the level of drivers that we have on the tour. We’ve run the road course at Loudon, which is primarily a left road course. It doesn’t take a whole bunch of setup changes to turn a pretty decent lap.”
The tour will close out their season at the World Series of Speedway Racing at Thompson. Last season had 32 cars, with Toby Wells winning the race and tour championship.
