Spencer Morse Ready For The 2015 Season

Spencer Morse will run the Super Late Model series this Saturday night at the Oxford Plains Speedway. Morse is planning on running the full season at Oxford and will try to qualify for the Oxford 250. During the off season, a total of 45 Oxford Hills Middle Students built and worked Spencer’s super late model. One day a week at Oxford Hills Middle School, the students can learn about culinary, take business classes or writing or work on the race car.  Morse feels it’s a great thing for these students.

The 45 kids that worked on this race car put their heart and soul into this race car. They would head to Crazy Horse Racing every Thursday to work on the car or working graphic design stuff or from designing the race car to a designing t-shirt. The students also learned about marketing, finance, and leadership ” It’s really a community car. We’re selling squares on the deck lid. Were selling names on the interior and everyone in this community has been such a part of it. It’s such a feel good story. It’s going to be a feel good victory if we can make the show.” Morse Said
Morse has been around the race track for a long time and he has never seen so many kids at their age so excited for the season to start in his entire life. ” 45 kids and all of their buddies and then the parents. We’re going to bring 250 Sunday. I bet there’s 300 people with Aspire Higher Race Car Shirts on.”
With the AIM Recycling USA Oxford 250 presented by Kenny U-Pull being held on August 30th. A lot of talented drivers have entered for this event and Morse it will be tough to qualify for this historic event. Morse is a third generation racer. His grandfather started racing at Oxford back in 1960.  It’s always been a family dream for the Morse family to race in the AIM Recycling USA Oxford 250 presented by Kenny U-Pull but Spencer feels he has an opportunity to qualify for this event.
Morse’s goals for this season is to win rookie of the year, contend for wins, and to make the 250 in August.  Oxford Plains Speedway will kick off their weekly racing program this Saturday beginning at 3:00 P.M.
