Spring Green Postponed at Airborne Until Sunday Afternoon
American-Canadian Tour event will run on Sunday, May 17 at 1:30 p.m.
PLATTSBURGH, NY – Airborne Park Speedway will have to wait one more day to race. The Plattsburgh, NY track has postponed the 41st annual Bill McBride Chevrolet “Spring Green” presented by Interstate Batteries until Sunday, May 17 at 1:30 p.m., due to morning rain and a continued wet forecast.
The event is one of the American-Canadian Tour’s oldest Late Model stock car races and returns to Airborne on Sunday after five years away. It is the fourth event of the season for the U.S.-based ACT Late Model Tour and also opens the Série ACT championship and the Québec Triple Crown – a three-race bonus series at Airborne.
The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series presented by Yandow Sales & Service and John Deere will also be in action. with J&S Steel Modifieds, Key R-D Trailer Sales Renegades and Busch Beer Mini Modifieds.
General admission on Sunday, May 17 is $20 for adults ($25 CDN), $18 for seniors ($23 CDN), and free for kids age 12 and under. Gates open at 10:00 a.m., and racing action starts at 1:30 p.m.
