Rain and the Forecast for More Rain Forces Cancellation of NASCAR Stock Car Racing at Grandview Speedway
Bechtelsville, PA June 20, 2015 . . . Nature just was not kind to Grandview Speedway on Saturday night as rain and the forecast for more rain washed out the scheduled Ingersoll Rand Night of NASCAR stock car racing.
Coming up at Grandview is a four division night of racing on Saturday, June 27th starting at 7:30 p.m. Included in the big night will be the T.P. Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars along with the Blast from the Past Vintage racers.
The Grandview Speedway Can Koozie giveaway for the first 200 Dads through the main gate, part of the Father’s Day activities, has been rescheduled for June 27th.
Plans regarding the possible rescheduling of the Ingersoll Rand activities that had been planned as part of the Saturday night show along with the Pocono Raceway ticket giveaway will be announced as soon as details have been finalized.
On Tuesday, June 30, 7:30 p.m. the always exciting Thunder on the Hill Series will include the Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week racing for the 410 sprint cars and the 358 Modifieds (NASCAR points awarded).
The BRC Late Models will headline the action on Saturday, July 4th with their annual Firecracker 40 which is sponsored by the Liberty Fire Co. of New Berlinville, PA this year. This is a big night for the kids as Late Model standout Kory Fleming and the Sleepy Hollow gang will be having their annual drawing that will reward four youngsters with beautiful new bicycles. Also included on the special holiday night will be the T.P. Trailers 358 Modifieds and Sportsman plus fan favorite FIREWORKS.
Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. A full assortment of great concessions and novelty items are available. Free parking on the grounds. Fans are invited to the competition area after the events are completed to meet the racers. Each Saturday night has spectator gates opening at 5:30 p.m. with a Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet that allows fans to meet drivers and get up close look at race cars.
