Valenti Modified Racing Series Returning To Monadnock This Weekend
The Valenti Modified Racing Series will make their second appearance of the 2015 this upcoming weekend at the Monadnock Speedway with the Firecracker 100. Todd Szegedy took down the win in the season opener back on May 2nd. Richard Savary is the defending winner of the Firecracker 100. The series just had race this past Friday night at the Stafford Motor Speedway with Woody Pitkat getting his second win of the season at the Connecticut half mile. Pitkat would lead the final 18 laps in the Shark Cycle 80. Todd Szegedy would finish in second. Chris Pasteryak would finish in third. Steve Masse in his first start of the season with the Valenti Modified Racing Series would finish in fourth and Richard Savary would finish in 5th.
The Monadnock Speedway NASCAR Whelen All American Series weekly divisions will be on hand. Last time out, Joel Monahan would get his first career win the Super Stock division while Bill Kimball would win the Sportsman Modified race back on June 13th. The Super Stocks Sportsman Modifieds, and the Thunder Stocks did have qualifying heats back on June 20th but apart of the program was rained out. Matt Kimball won the Mini Stock feature and Mariah Stebbins won the Young Guns feature event back on June 20th. The Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Thunder Stocks will have double features on August 1st.
The Pits will open at 11:00 A.M. The Grandstands will open at 2 P.M. with practice being held from 2:00-4:30 P.M. The Valenti Modified Racing Series will have two 20 minute practice sessions. The program will kickoff with a special start time at 5:00 P.M. with qualifying heat races and features to roll off at approx 6:15 P.M.
