MacDonald to Enter NH 301 at NHMS

Former ACT Invitational and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East winner Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA is back at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend for the inaugural Pro All Stars Series (PASS) AIM 60. MacDonald is driving the No. 66 D.R. Lemieux Builders/BCR Automotive/Neal Excavating Chevrolet for David Lemieux.

“When they announced this race, I was anxious to try and put something together and these guys came and asked if I’d be interested in running and it’s a beautiful car,” MacDonald said. “We’ve been busting our butts getting it ready, so it’s brand new. It hasn’t made a lap around the racetrack yet, so sure we’re going to have to work the bugs out of it today and hopefully we can get it fast.”

MacDonald’s crew chief Rollie Lachance is at the track to help the team. “He knows what I need for a feel to get around here and hopefully we can find that today.”

MacDonald called New Hampshire “a great place to come and it’s a lot of fun,” of the chance for more drivers to race there. He expects strong competition for Sunday’s race. “It’s definitely going to be tough, these guys have  a lot of experience in these PASS cars. … Everyone’s going to be pretty quick and tough to beat.”

MacDonald will return for the New Hampshire 301 to drive the No. 32 Ford for Go Green Racing. The team will be supported by Draft Demons and EXIT Realty. He made his debut last year driving for Archie St. Hilaire of Old Orchard Beach, ME.

“Hopefully we can figure it out and get up to speed. Fairly happy with the finish last year considering everything and just hopefully we can kind of grow from that and get into the show okay.”

MacDonald will continue to compete in the American Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. He swept the three ACT Late Model races in the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (FL) Speedway earlier this year.
