FVP National Sprint League Brings 410’s to Fairmont Friday

Windom, MN (August 18, 2015) – For the first time in almost thirty years, 410 sprint cars will be screaming around the banked ½-mile Fairmont Raceway in Minnesota this Friday night!  The event presented by the State Bank of Fairmont and True Value of Fairmont and Lakefield will be held in conjunction with the 150th Annual Martin County Fair!

In addition to the great racing, count on a driver meet and greet, a DJ and karaoke, happy hour with drink specials, a post-race pit party, great giveaways including a grill and much more including pork chops on a stick from the Martin County Pork Producers!

Danny “the Dude” Lasoski leads the NSL charge into Fairmont.  The Dover, Missouri driver has racked up a series’ high six wins and leads the standings heading into Fairmont.  He will be joined by two-time “King of California” Tim Kaeding, seven-time Knoxville Raceway champ and this year’s 360 Nationals champ, Terry McCarl, defending Knoxville Raceway champion, Ian Madsen and seven-time IRA champ “The North Pole Nightmare” Bill Balog.

Though the track hasn’t seen 410 sprint cars since the 1980’s, they have hosted several 360 sprint shows the past few seasons, including this past July in an event won by Madsen.  Two-time Knoxville track champ, Brian Brown has won two of those events in the past four years, and will also be on hand Friday.  Other NSL drivers expected in attendance include two-time USAC sprint and midget champion, Bryan Clauson, nine-time Aussie World Series Sprintcars titlist, Brooke Tatnell, 2015 $10,000 Speed Sport World Challenge winner, Lynton Jeffrey, 2013 Huset’s 360 champ, Matt Juhl, Austin McCarl, Tasker Phillips, Dakota Hendrickson and many more!

Driver Meet and Greet

Things will kick off with a Driver “Meet and Greet” from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. just south of the ice arena.  Top drivers and cars from the FVP National Sprint League will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs.  A live radio remote will also be a part of the Driver “Meet and Greet”, so stop by, get an autograph or buy a t-shirt of your favorite driver!

Post Race Pit Party

Join us in the pits after the races to enjoy more music, karaoke and fun times with your favorite sprint car drivers!

Tickets and Times

Tickets are $25 for adults, and $15 for ages 13-17.  Kids 12 and under are FREE!  In addition to the FVP National Sprint League, IMCA Modifieds, Sport Mods and Stock Cars will be in action!

Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m.  Hot laps are scheduled for 7:00.  Qualifying and racing will follow!

Stay tuned to the FVP National Sprint League website at www.NationalSprintLeague.com, on Facebook, and @NSLSeries on Twitter for more information on Tuesday’s event.  For more information on Fairmont Raceway, visit www.FairmontRaceway.com!
