Johnny Herrera On Top With ASCS Red River at Flint Creek Speedway
W. SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. (September 4, 2015) Johnny Herrera’s Labor Day Weekend is off to a good start as the wily veteran picked off his second victory in as many races with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products.
Pocketing $2,000 at the Flint Creek Speedway, Herrera led non-stop for his seventh overall victory of the 2015 season. Broken Arrow’s Alex Sewell grabbed second with sixth starting Joe Wood, Jr. completing the podium, and in doing so moves into second in the 2015 Red River driver standings. Danny Smith crossed fourth with ASCS Red River point’s leader, Kade Morton, completing the top five after starting ninth.
Alex DeCamp advanced six spots to grab sixth with Fred Mattox, Mickey Walker, Whit Gastineau, and Chance Morton making the top-ten.
The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products will join up with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track on Saturday, September 12. Tickets are on sale at http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com.
