PRACTICE: Fleming Paces Field At Langley
Veteran Leads Afternoon Practice Session
HAMPTON, Va. – On a NASCAR throwback weekend Frank Fleming provided his own version of the celebration in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Saturday in Virginia.
The veteran competitor who has over 50 modified wins in his career, led the field during practice for the Bayport Credit Union 150 presented by Budweiser at Langley Speedway.
Fleming, from Mt. Airy, North Carolina, drove his No. 40 AutosbyNelson.com/Lewsiville Motors/William Smith Trucking Chevrolet to a fast lap of 15.180 seconds (94.862 mph) during the one-hour session.
George Brunnhoelzl III (15.192/94.787) followed closely in second place with Kyle Ebersole in third place (15.249/94.432). Joe Ryan Osborne and Andy Seuss completed the top five.
Burt Myers, Jeremy Gerstner, David Calabrese, Bobby Measmer, Jr., and Jason Myers round out the top 10.
Qualifying for the Bayport Credit Union 150 presented by Budweiser is slated for 5 p.m. with the green flag on the race slated for approximately 9:30 p.m.
