Speedbowl Documentary Part 1 Due Soon
This offseason will be the end of a long road for Tom ‘Sid’ DiMaggio of Lyme, CT.
DiMaggio began researching the New London-Waterford (CT) Speedbowl in August 2005. This led to the original Sid’s Vault that featured historical information on the track’s champions and race winners.
October 2008 saw a new idea with a documentary on the history of the 65-year-old track. The first interview was done in January 2010.
Sid’s Vault Productions released a trailer for the forthcoming documentary, “A Chronological History of the New London-Waterford Speedbowl” yesterday. The first of six parts is expected September 17.
