Preece to Drive Dover K&N East Race for Marsh Racing

Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT will make his second NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start in the season finale at Dover (DE) International Speedway Friday, October 2. After the Drive Sober 125, Preece will complete in the NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final weekend at Stafford (CT) Motor Speedway October 3-4.
Preece finished 14th in his series debut last Thursday at Richmond (VA) International Raceway. He started last (35th) after qualifying rained out. The UNOH 100 was cut short 30 laps by rain.
The 2011 SK Modified champion is second in SK Modified® points at Stafford, 36 points behind Rowan Pennink. He has three wins, 14 top fives and 18 top tens in 20 starts. Preece finished second in points in 2013 and 2014 with 14 wins in those seasons.
The 24-year-old NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points leader has four wins, six top fives, and 12 top tens in his first year driving for Ed Partridge. He has an average finish of 4.8 and leads Woody Pitkat of Stafford Springs, CT by one point with three races remaining.
Preece won the penultimate NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race last season driving for Eric Sanderson. Preece has five wins, 13 top fives and 19 top tens in 33 series starts at Stafford. He has finished third and won his last two starts at the half-mile oval.
