Daly & Noll Open Mr. Excitement Tribute in CSP Victory Lane

PEORIA, Ariz. (September 18, 2015) – Clay Daly and Jason Noll were among those offering up the biggest thrills on Friday night as Canyon Speedway Park hosted the opening night of the Mr. Excitement 40 Tribute to Terry Belcher.

While Daly took West Coast Late Model honors and Noll raced from deep in the field to take the top spot in IMCA Modified action, other Friday winners atop the 1/3-mile clay oval included Zack Madrid in Pure Stocks, Chuck Thornton in Renegades and Austin Kuehl in Mod Lites

The Mr. Excitement 40 Tribute to Terry Belcher finishes up with Saturday’s action going green at 7:00 p.m.

In West Coast Late Model action, Watsonville, California’s Clay Daly finally found fortune on his side at Canyon Speedway Park by racing to victory lane from the front row outside ahead of Joey Moriarty, Bud Grossenbacher, Tony Toste and Brad Williams.

After climbing from “B” Main action, Jason Noll rallied from the 13th starting position to capture his second 9th World Vapor IMCA Modified win of the year at CSP ahead of pole starter Nick O’Nell with Shawn Zelenka, Mike Strobl and 16th-starter Anthony Madrid also among the top five.

Zack Madrid raced from the front row outside to nab his third Arizona Differential Pure Stock win of the year ahead of Chris McCurdy, Jr., Matt Martinez while Chuck Thornton raced from three rows deep for his third Scottsdale Muffler & Automotive Renegade score of the season in front of Joe Peterson and Jason Crowe.

In AMA Mod Lite action, Austin Kuehl added his second CSP win of the year ahead of Brenden Priest and Jim Hock.

The Mr. Excitement 40 Tribute to Terry Belcher featuring the West Coast Late Models along with 9th World Vapors IMCA Modifieds, Arizona Differential Pure Stocks, Scottsdale Muffler & Automotive Renegades and AMA Mod Lites wraps up Saturday night with racing action going green at7:00 p.m.
