PRACTICE: Seuss, Civali Fastest In Sessions
Defending Champ Quickest Overall During Two Sessions
SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – Andy Seuss sits in second place in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour point standings by just one point to Jason Myers and judging by practice for the South Boston 150, he could leave as the points leader tonight.
The Hampstead, New Hampshire native drove his No. 11 Northeast Race Cars/Ideal Finance Chevrolet to the fastest overall time in both practice sessions with a time of 14.666 seconds (98.186 mph).
James Civali, who was named a last-minute driver in the No. 79 Coors Light/Hillbilly Racing Pontiac, was fastest in the final practice session and second overall at 14.832 seconds (97.087).
Danny Bohn was third fastest overall (14.878/96.787) with George Brunnhoelzl III and Jeremy Gerstner completed the top five.
Burt Myers, who is tied with Seuss for second place in the standings, was sixth with Frank Fleming, Kyle Ebersole, David Calabrese and points leader Jason Myers completing the top 10.
Qualifying for the Coors Light Pole will now be held at 5:30 p.m. with the green flag for the South Boston 150 slated for approximately 8 p.m.
