HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks Announces 2016 Driver Lineup

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (December 9, 2015) – HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks (HSMJM) is proud to announce the organization’s 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) driver lineup: J.J. Haley, Hunter Baize, Harrison Burton and Tyler Dippel. Haley will return to the team following his 2015 rookie campaign in the series. Baize, Burton, and Dippel will compete full time in the NKNPSE during the 2016 season and also will compete for Rookie of the Year honors.

Haley, 16, earned six top-five and 10 top-10 finishes in 14 starts with HSMJM in 2015. The Indiana native finished sixth in the NKNPSE driver point standings. Haley also made three starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2015, with a career-best finish of seventh at Phoenix International Raceway in November.

Baize, 18, finished third in the ARCA/CRA Super Series point standings last season with two wins at the Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Ind. and Flat Rock Speedway in Carlton, Mich. Baize also finished ninth in his ARCA Racing Series debut at Berlin Speedway in Marne, Mich. He followed that with a sixth-place run at Springfield’s Illinois State Fairgrounds.

Burton, 15, made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West debut in 2015 at All-American Speedway in Roseville, Calif., becoming the youngest driver to race in the series at 15 years, 8 days old. Burton has an extensive racing background in late models. He earned his first pole position in the Limited Late Model Series at just 11 years old, and won his first Pro-Late Model race at age 12 and Super Late Model race at 14. Prior to his late model success, he was a three-time Quarter Midget Champion.

Dippel, 15, will enter his rookie NKNPSE season following a year of big block modified competition, where he became the youngest winner in the northeast area and also earned the Rookie of the Year award in the DIRTcar Northeast Series. Dippel began his racing career at the age of 7, racing slingshot race cars, which are scaled down versions of dirt modifieds. Dippel made his first full-size stock car start on asphalt in 2014. As a rookie, he held the PASS Super Late Model National Points lead throughout the season until the final race when mechanical failure ended his race early. He also made three starts in the ARCA Racing Series in 2015, with a career-best finish of fourth at Salem (Ind.) Speedway in September.

“As we have seen over the past few seasons, this series breeds the future of our sport,” team co-owner Harry Scott Jr. said. “With the amount of success this organization achieved in 2015, I’m really looking forward to next season with J.J. returning and our three new drivers. It’s great to see these young guys develop as the season progresses, and I love watching them as they move forward into different divisions throughout their careers. I truly enjoy being part of the K&N Series.”

Team co-owner Justin Marks echoed Scott’s thoughts on the team’s first season.

“I’m thrilled to have such a strong group of drivers joining HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks in 2016. This team has proven its ability to compete at a high level and our lineup for the coming season is poised to continue the momentum. The team is working hard this offseason to build race-winning cars, and we’ll be strong right out of the box in Florida in February.”

HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks will once again be led by Mike Greci, who has managed the last three championship teams within the NKNPSE. Throughout the past three seasons, Greci has overseen the careers of Dylan Kwasniewski, Ben Rhodes, Cameron Hayley, Brandon Jones, William Byron, Dalton Sargeant and Rico Abreu all of whom have competed in one of the three NASCAR National Touring Series.
