Call Before You Dig Continues Stafford Speedway SK Modified® Contingency Program

Stafford Springs, CT — When the green flag falls on the first SK Modified® race of the 2016 season at Stafford Motor Speedway, drivers will once again be jockeying for position in order to claim a Call Before You Dig contingency bonus. Call Before You Dig will present a $125 bonus to the second place finisher in the SK Modified® feature events during the 2016, bringing the winnings for a 2nd place finish to $1000. The 2016 season will be the 7th consecutive year that CBYD has offered a contingency bonus for SK Modified® drivers originally joining the contingency program back in 2010.

“We’re looking forward to being part of another season of SK Modified® racing at Stafford Speedway and we can’t wait for the season to get started,” said Derek Brown, Vice President of Damage Prevention and Education for Call Before You Dig. “Everyone here at CBYD has been very happy with our involvement with Stafford Speedway and the level of exposure that we’ve received throughout the years that we’ve been involved in the racing program. We’re about to deploy a new ticket management system on our cbyd.com website and it will be the same system as when you call the 811 or 1-800 numbers and this is a great way for us to help get the word out about our new ticket management system.”

In the 6 seasons that CBYD has been a contingency sponsor at Stafford, they have provided a total of $16,000 to Stafford’s SK Modified® drivers. CBYD began their contingency sponsorship of the SK Modified® division in 2010 as a second place sponsor and then became a first place sponsor from 2012-2015.

“Call Before You Dig continues to be a great partner at Stafford Speedway,” said Lisa Arute, Vice President of Stafford Motor Speedway. “Derek Brown and the CBYD staff have found creative ways to get the word out on the ticket management system through their sponsorship programs at Stafford. We enjoy our partnership with them and look forward to our continued association.”

The first Call Before You Dig contingency bonus of the 2016 season will be up for grabs during Stafford Speedway’s 45th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler Weekend on April 22-24. Tickets for the “Greatest Race in the History of Spring” are on sale now at the Speedway Box Office. Tickets are priced at $38.50 for adult general admission tickets, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating is priced at $42.00 for all ages. As always, Stafford Motor Speedway offers free parking with overnight parking available. All tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday admission. All ticket prices include 10% CT Admission Tax.

As previously mentioned, CBYD is launching a new excavator ticket management system for 2016.  The new system will utilize the latest technology to improve the efficiency and user friendliness.  CBYD will still maintain a call center to take either 811 or 800-922-4455 phone calls, but the preferred contact method will be via the website www.cbyd.com. Features of the new system will include a re-engineered ticket format, ability for mobile ticket entry for iPhone, tablets, or other mobile devices, the ability for the user to draw on a map showing the proposed work area, and a confirmation method that will be emailed to the user for documentation of their mark out request. A big change is that homeowners will now be able to self-register online and request an E-Ticket for any excavation.  Once a user has become registered, that unique user will have a username and password and the system will retain your data to pre-populate information and expedite any subsequent ticket requests. Anyone who has registered for E-Tickets will have the ability to search for previous tickets. There will also be many help tools to make the process as easy as possible. For more information go to www.cbyd.com.
