Dunleavy’s Truck & Trailer Repair Renewing Stafford Contingency Program Sponsorship in SK Modified® and SK Light Divisions

Stafford Springs, CT — Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair of Brookfield will once again contribute a bonus to the winner of each SK Modified® and SK Light Modified feature at Stafford Speedway during the 2016 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season. Dunleavy’s will provide a winners bonus of $150 for each SK Modified® feature winner as well as a $125 bonus for each SK Light feature winner. With 22 races during the 2015 season, Dunleavy’s contributed $3,300 to SK Modified® feature winners and $2,750 to SK Light feature winners for a total of $6,050.

“I’ve always loved modified racing,” said Doug Dunleavy, owner of Dunleavy’s Truck & Trailer Repair. “We’re happy to be coming back and supporting both the SK Modifieds® and the SK Lights. I think the racing you see at Stafford is some of the best modified racing that you can find and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen this season.”

The biggest beneficiaries of Dunleavy’s support in the SK Modified® division were 2015 champion Rowan Pennink and Ronnie Williams, who tied for the division lead with 6 wins each. Other SK Modified® feature winners included Ryan Preece and Keith Rocco with 3 wins each, Eric Berndt with 2 wins, and Michael Gervais, Jr. and Woody Pitkat each won a single feature for a total of 7 winners in 22 feature events. In the SK Light ranks, Joey Ferrigno led all drivers with 5 victories. Tony Membrino, Jr. won 4 races, D.J. Burnham, Payton Henry, and Daniel Wesson each won 3 times, Nick Salva won twice, and single event feature winners were SK Light champion Stephen Kopcik and Matt Swanson for a total of 8 winners over 22 races.

Along with his love for modifieds and participation in the Stafford Contingency Program, there is another event on the 2016 schedule that has Dunleavy excited.

“I’m really looking forward to the K&N Pro Series East race that Stafford added to the schedule,” said Dunleavy. “I think that should be some really exciting full fendered racing and I’ll be looking to put the Dunleavy name on a car for the NASCAR 150.”

Although it’s still an unknown as to which K&N car Dunleavy will sponsor, he has several commitments already lined up for the 2016 season in the Whelen Modified Tour ranks. For the northern modifieds, Dunleavy will once again sponsor the 2-time defending and 3-time overall NWMT champion Doug Coby’s #2 car and the #9 car of Chase Dowling, who will be entering his second full season of NWMT competition. Dunleavy’s will also sponsor 4-time southern champion George Brunnhoelzl, III. Dunleavy also has plans to sponsor the indoor three-quarter midget cars of Ted Christopher and Jimmy Zacharias and he will also help out the teams of Zacharias, Brunnhoelzl, and Justin Bonsignore as they head to New Smyrna Speedway for Speedweeks.

Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair is located at 61 Vale Road in Brookfield, CT and they can be reached at 203-775-9199. Rather than towing your vehicle to a garage, Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair will come to you and fix your vehicle on the spot.

“We specialize in Heavy Commercial Fleet Services and we offer 24-Hour Roadside Assistance,” said Dunleavy. “We’ll come right out to wherever you broke down and fix it right there on the spot.”
