Maybury Material Handling Becomes Newest Member of Stafford Speedway Contingency Program
Stafford Motor Speedway is proud to welcome a familiar advertising partner back to the track for the 2016 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season in Maybury Material Handling. Maybury will present a contingency bonus of $150 to each SK Modified® feature winner as well as a $125 bonus for each SK Light feature winner. Maybury’s contingency bonus will bring the SK Modified® winner’s check up to $1,700 and the SK Light winner’s take to $550.
Maybury has been an active supporter in the Monday Night Wild Thing Kart Series over the last 10 years and prior to that was an avid partner at Stafford through Maybury Material Handling Event Nights, advertising and sponsoring Wade Gagner with his Late Model and ProStock teams.
“We’re excited to be part of the race program once again at Stafford,” said John Maybury, President of Maybury Material Handling. “We took a little hiatus while our kids were growing up and going through college and now is the perfect time for us to get back into racing. Racing never gets out of your blood. We started out with Wade Gagner in the Late Model division and the ProStock division. We also had several employees who put cars together and we all ran in the enduro races at Stafford.”
Maybury will have a presence each week in Victory Lane as a contingency partner for both the SK Modifieds and SK Light division and will also sponsor Cam McDermott in the #5 SK Modified car.
“We have a lot of race fans at Maybury Material Handling whether it’s NASCAR or some other form of racing like motorcycles,” said Maybury. “I’d love to see some of our customers come out and see Cam McDermott’s #5 Maybury sponsored SK Modified® car and see Stafford and hopefully our involvement might help bring some other companies who know about us to the track. We hope that Stafford has a great season and it never rains on Friday!”

“This is our 40th anniversary year of being in business and we have 25 service technicians out in vans performing service and our customers are Lowe’s, Home Depot, Costco, Amazon, and we could go on right down the list,” said Maybury. “We provide warehousing equipment, forklift trucks, sweepers and scrubbers to keep facilities clean and we have parts, service, and rental for all that equipment. We’re approaching 100 employees, last year was our best year ever, and we’re looking forward to duplicating that.”
