Bouc Disqualified After Winning A.C. Kart Race, Win Goes to Nall

Nall Declared Champ Kart Winner after Apparent Winner Bouc Is Disqualified

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Donnie Nall of Lawsonville, N.C. has been declared the official winner of the NAPA Know How Weekend Champ Kart 25-lap feature in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.

Len Sammons Motorsports Productions (LSMP) officials disqualified apparent race winner Danny Bouc of Plumsteadville, Pa., after a detailed post-race inspection on his kart’s engine revealed irregularities on the power plant’s head.

.Bouc had held off Nall and Chris Daley, two past champions of the race.

“I can’t believe it,” Bouc said. “I’ve come close many times and I finally got one.”

All of that euphoria was out the window by a little after midnight when the verdict was rendered: Bouc was disqualified.

Nall was not totally surprised. Bouc’s engine supplier, Moon Power of Indianapolis, according to Nall, has had several engine legality issues previously,

Bouc had rented the engine from Moon for this race and was unaware of its issues until technical inspection.

Daley was elevated to second. Joe Pacovich, Zack Myers and Jonathan Cash moved up to fill in the top five.

Official Finishing Order: 1. Donnie Nall, 2. Chris Daley, 3. Joe Pacovich, 4. Zack Myers, 5. Jonathan Cash, 6. Anthony Colandro, 7. Mike Perry, 8. Jerry Mullis, 9. Richie Davidowitz, 10.
