New at Seekonk Speedway in 2016
Names like Phil’s Propane and Everett’s Auto Parts have returned to the 1/3 mile oval with sponsorship of not only cars that race, but also the track in general. Phil’s will be sponsoring the Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Series once again this season and Everett’s will proudly bring Everett’s Auto Parts victory lane along with helping increase the Late Model purse and sponsoring defending champion Dylan Estrella full-time.
Propane Plus, a track sponsor for the past few years has also returned for 2016 and will be providing the Digital Programs for everyone at no charge. The new digital platform was released towards the end of last year and got great reviews from the fans and should continue to improve as it goes along.
In addition to the weekly Propane Plus Powered Race Magazine, there will be a printed souvenir program filled with track history and info about Seekonk Speedway. This program will have a weekly insert of current rosters and point standings as well as a ticket that will be entered to win some great weekly prizes and gift certificates.
Propane Plus will also continue to sponsor the “Propane Plus Autograph Session,” for each of the Saturday night divisions this year. The Street Stocks will start the autograph series on July 23, followed by the Pro Stocks on July 30. The Sports Trucks will take center stage on Aug. 6 and the Late Models will round out the series on Aug. 13. Fans will be given a chance to go up to victory lane during intermission and get autographs from their favorite drivers. It’s always a fan friendly event and Propane Plus will be providing autograph cards for the drivers to sign.
Another new and exciting incentive Propane Plus will be providing in 2016 allows the drivers to get some fresh rubber just when they need it.
The “Propane Plus Helping Hand,” will be a weekly drawing for the drivers to have a chance to win a free tire courtesy of Propane Plus. At the end of a Saturday night feature, Propane Plus will take the final four drivers that finished each Saturday night race and place them in a hat. That means 16 drivers will be entered in the contest. At the following Saturday nights drivers meeting, they will draw two names out of the hat and each of the two will be given one FREE tire. If the driver pulled is not in attendance at that drivers meeting, they will draw a different name.
Propane Plus will be giving sponsorship that goes back into the drivers and fans with the autograph series and the tire giveaways. Thanks to Tim Johnson and his gang for providing some new and exciting incentives for 2016.
Seekonk Speedway would also like to welcome Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment on board as the official sponsor of the 2016 Spectator Drag Series. Last year, the series kick-started and fans loved it. You can bring your street car right into the Seekonk Speedway and compete against one other driver in a one lap duel. Thanks to the gang in Westport, Mass. for providing the sponsorship and we are happy to have them on board. The full spectator drag series schedule can be found by visiting www.seekonkspeedway.com.
Also thanks to Anytime Realty, who has come on as the official sponsor of the biggest race of the season at Seekonk, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour AnytimeRealty.com 150 at Seekonk on Sept. 10. That event will showcase top modified talent in the Northeast in the running of the AnytimeRealty.com 150. Don Parsons and the gang at Anytime are committed to giving back to the racers and improving their company in the process. They will also sponsor a full-time ride for Rey Lovelace in the Pro Stock class.
Lastly, the track would like to welcome Pepsi back as the official soft drink provider of Seekonk on a 10-year deal. Thanks to Pepsi for being committed to racing for the long-run at the Action Track of the East.
Come out and see all the racing action starting on Sunday May 1, with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series!
