Rain Cuts ASCS Warrior Region Short at Callaway Raceway
FULTON, Mo. (April 29, 2016) With cars headed to the staging area, it looked as if the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps was going to win the race against Mother Nature, but the top came in and the bottom fell out as rain swept across the Callaway Raceway.
ASCS Warrior Region officials are currently working with the Callaway Raceway for a date to reschedule. The date, to be announced, will be a complete program.
Three Heats for 23 drivers did see action at the Callaway Raceway with plenty of racing to at least curb the race fan’s appetite. In the first Heat alone, three drivers led laps with Randy Martin taking the win. Heat two saw Brad Loyet take the lead just before the half-way point for a runaway victory. The final Heat was all Evan Martin.
All drivers will receive show up points based off car count. As the A-Feature lineup showed all 23 starting, all drivers will receive 87 points.
The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps will take on the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network on Thursday, May 5 for the McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic presented by Racinboys.com at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. Advance tickets are on sale at http://www.racinboys.com.
