DCRP – The Month Ahead
DODGE CITY, Kan. (May 27, 2016) – Those living in and around Dodge City, Kansas can go ahead and set their Saturday night plans for the month of June. And those plans should include being at Dodge City Raceway Park.
The 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas will be in action every Saturday night in June, building up to the blockbuster $10,000-to-win NCRA/NSL Sprint Car “Steve King Memorial” event on July 1-2.
Following an idle Memorial Day weekend at the state-of-the-art facility, the busy month of June kicks off Saturday night, June 4, with the return of Late Models to the Dodge City track.
NCRA Late Models will headline the June 4 card with IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks in action as well.
Three consecutive weekends of championship chase action will follow on June 11, June 18 and June 25. The Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars will be in action on both June 11 and June 18 with the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks in action during each of the June 11, June 18 and June 25 nights.
All four June events will get under way at 7:30 p.m.
With the opening five nights of the season already in the books, early leaders in the track’s championship point chases include Taylor Velasquez in Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, Nick Link in IMCA Modifieds, Kevin Tabor in IMCA Sport Modifieds, Michael Pepper in IMCA Stock Cars and Cody Davis in IMCA Hobby Stocks.
