Dalton Sargeant Ready for First Pocono Start

Long Pond, PA (June 2, 2016) – Coming off his third podium finish of the season last weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Dalton Sargeant is now ready to take on the ‘Tricky Triangle’ in Friday night’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards – General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 at Pocono Raceway.

“Another new track for me,” said Sargeant, whose introduction to ARCA has been headlined with this common theme. “Tuesday was a really good test day for the entire Venturini Motorsports Toyota Camry powered by Windows 10 team. It took a bit to get comfortable for the first couple times around Pocono, but I really enjoyed the track and it’s challenging layout. I’m very excited to have this opportunity and looking to continue and build on our recent success.”

Sargeant, who has made the most of his first four career ARCA starts with Venturini Motorsports, has finished inside the top-3 all but once this season. His only finish outside the top-3 was sixth at Talladega Superspeedway.

“We continue to get better as a team week after week. I feel like I’m settling into the series and getting really comfortable with this team. Billy (Venturini) has done a great job on top of the box and has really helped me reduce my learning curve at each of these new tracks I visit for the first time.”

Despite racing a partial ARCA schedule and missing the first two series events of the season, Sargeant is currently third in ARCA’s Rookie of the Year standings and has broken into the top-10 in the overall driver points standings.
