Late Models & Title Chase Action Saturday at DCRP
DODGE CITY, Kan. (June 3, 2016) – While Late Models make a rare Dodge City Raceway Park appearance on Saturday night, the event will also mark another critical round of competition for three of the track’s championship chase divisions.
With the NCRA Late Models headlining Saturday’s card, it’s Kevin Tabor, Michael Pepper and Cody Davis leading the IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks into the event that goes green at 7:30 p.m.
The Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars and IMCA Modified are back in action next Saturday night, June 11.
IMCA Sport Modifieds:
Top-ten finishes each of the first five times out has put Kevin Tabor just a dozen points ahead of Brian May as three-time and reigning champ Jeff Kaup hasn’t seen a feature checkered flag either of the last two times out.
The IMCA Sport Mods have offered up a dozen different winners in the last 14 features at DCRP dating back to last year.

Reigning champ Michael Pepper has captured two of the last three wins to open up a 53-point edge over Marlin Hogie, who climbed a spot to second last time out.

A win last time out on May 21 to become the first repeat winner of the year in Hobby Stock action was just enough to give defending champion Cody Davis a five-point advantage over Matt O’Hair while Tobby Schield jumped a pair of positions to third.

Tickets to Saturday’s NCRA Late Model special at Dodge City Raceway Park are just $20 for adults with children eleven and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit passes are $30.
