Eggleston Returns Home Looking for Second Straight Win

ERIE, CO– Fresh off his first K&N Pro Series West win of the season at Orange Show Speedway, there is no track Chris Eggleston would rather pick up his next win at than Colorado National Speedway. A Colorado native, Eggleston considers Colorado National his home track and raced there countless times over the past XX years.

“Anytime the K&N West Series comes to Colorado, it’s always a big deal for all the fans here as they always seem to pack the place. It’s my hopes that we can unload with a fast Napa Filters Toyota and just make small changes throughout practice and have a strong showing, and shoot for back-to-back K&N wins.”

Eggleston has raced everything from the K&N West Series to Super Late Models and Legends cars at the Dacono, CO track and has found success in every division. He won the K&N West race there in 2014 and backed it up with a third place finish in 2015. And earlier this season he drove his Legends car to Victory Lane.

“Colorado National Speedway is always a fun place to race at. It has a lot of bumps and unique characteristics that make it unique. Hopefully with our experience, it will give us a slight edge over our competition. We will be racing the same car that we won Orange Show with so hopefully we can park it right back in victory lane like we did a couple weeks ago.”

With four career K&N West Series wins, Eggleston knows what it takes to cross the line first. Even though there is added excitement and maybe some added pressure to perform at home, the game plan for his NAPA Toyota Team remains the same as it has all year.

“Coming off a big win at Orange Show Speedway certainly doesn’t hurt and gives us a little momentum coming into this weekend. We will just continue to do what we have been doing all year and concentrate on race trim and make sure we have a good balanced racecar on old tires.”
