Obituary: Henry ‘Hank’ Goff, II

1975 Seekonk Cadet Champion Passes Away at 78

Henry “Hank” Goff, II, 78 years old, passed away peacefully in Morton Hospital, on July 9, 2016.

He was born in Dighton, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Barney) Goff. He was educated in Dighton Schools. Hank enlisted in the US Air Force and was stationed in Texas where he was a aircraft mechanic officer for the 450th Transportations Squadron in the Tactical Air Command. He had a passion for racing stock cars at both Seekonk and Westboro Speedways. Hank, as everyone knows him by, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Seekonk for dominating in the B Class Division in 1975. For many years Hank was a self-employed mason.

Hank is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marryann (Souza) Goff and his son Rodman Goff and his grandson Justin Goff. He was the father of the late Henry “Buddy” Goff, Jr. He was also the former husband of Norma (Menzes) Goff of Raynham. Hank was the brother of Janet Ray and he was the brother of the late Malcolm Goff, Donald Goff, Colin Goff.

Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, on Friday evening, July 22, from 4 to 7:30 PM with a Time of Reflection and a Prayer Service at 7:30.
