Strunk, Schutz, and Henn are NASCAR Point Leaders at Grandview Speedway
21 Different Feature Winners Spread Over Three Divisions this Season
BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 17, 2016 . . . Shooting for his 11th TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified title Jeff Strunk currently sits on top of the standings in the premier division of Saturday night racing at Grandview Speedway with 2903 points. Jordan Henn continues to be the leader in the Sportsman division while Chuck Schutz, the current point leader seeking his eighth title leads the BRC Late Models with 2318 counters.
The battle for the title in the TP Trailers division is tight between Strunk and defending champion Craig VonDohren who is just 11 points behind in second with 2892 points. Mike Gular, without benefit of a win, is third with 2726 points.
Henn has lead the Sportsman point battle for most of the season and his 2111 tallies give him a comfortable lead over second place Brian Hirthler with 1964. Craig Whitmoyer is third with 1934 points.
Current BRC Late Model point leader Chuck Schutz sits with 2318 points as he tries to add another title to his impressive resume. Second spot is held by Dave Ogin with 2282 points.
There have been 21 different feature winners this season spread over the three divisions of NASCAR competition. The Modifieds have produced seven winners while the Sportsman have nine winners and Late Models have had five different drivers visit victory lane.
Coming up on Saturday, July 23rd is the always popular Hatfield Quality Meats Night featuring a visit by Smiley, their famous mascot; plus t-shirts and hot dogs being shot into the grandstands. And they will have product samples in the first turn grandstand area early in the evening. Featured will be the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, and Sportsman. The weekly Meet and Greet featuring drivers and cars near the main gate entrance starts at 5 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with actual racing competition starts at 7:30 p.m. Adults are admitted for $15 while youngsters under 12 enter free.
Then on Sunday, July 24th, 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduro racers will be in action along with Blast from the Past Vintage Car racing events. Adult admission is just $10.
