$10,000 to Win Pioneer Pole Buildings Forrest Rogers Memorial at Grandview

Prestigious Pioneer Pole Buildings Forrest Rogers Memorial Next Saturday $10,000 to Win T.P. Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified Classic

BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 7, 2016 . . . Coming up on Saturday, August 13th, is one of the richest and most prestigious events of the season for the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds when the annual Pioneer Pole Buildings Forrest Rogers Memorial is presented at Grandview Speedway. The 50-lap race for the Modifieds offers at least $10,000 to the winner and often attracts some outsiders to test their skills against the outstanding talents that regularly race at Grandview Speedway. The race is run in memory of the founder of the track. In addition there will be racing for the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.

Defending Modified champion and current point leader Craig VonDohren will be looking to add to his impressive resume of wins at Grandview but he will have strong challenges from the likes of 10-time track champion Jeff Strunk (a winner this past Saturday), Mike Gular, three feature winner Frank Cozze, Tim Buckwalter, Ray Swinehart, Doug Manmiller, Jared Umbenhauer, Brett Kressley and a host of others. Duane Howard is expected to enter. VonDohren won this event in 2015.

The race is expected to have quite an impact on the point battle that is going on for the lucrative NASCAR and track point titles. Including the Forrest Rogers Memorial there are just four nights of point racing remaining.

As is normal the Low Down and Dirty Radio Meet & Greet taking place near the main gate at 5 p.m. will give fans the opportunity to meet some of the racers and see their race cars up close.
Adult admission is $25 for this special race that honors the memory of the founder of the Bechtelsville auto racing facility. Youngsters 6 through 11 will pay just $5 and kids under 6 are admitted free.

Advance tickets for the 46th Annual Freedom 76, set for September 10, will be on sale. Advance tickets are priced at $35 while tickets purchased on race day will cost $40. Advance ticketholders will be admitted 30-minutes before those purchasing tickets at the event. Youngsters 6 through 11 pay $10 and kids under six are admitted free.

Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint racers will be in action on Thursday, August 18th at 7:30 p.m. and will feature some of the best Sprint car talents. The TSRS 305 Sprints will also be part of the Thunder on the Hill event.
