Evergreen Raceway’s ‘Summer Cruise in the Evergreens’ This Saturday
St. Johns, PA (8/14/2016)- Evergreen Raceway’s ‘Summer Cruise in the Evergreens’, a Classic/Custom/Truck/Cycle/ Race car show and everything else, including automotive flea market will take place in the pit area at the speedway on Saturday, August 20 from11 AM – 6 PM.
Presented by Northeast Cruisers, Evergreen Raceway & Tyler Jett Motorsports Marketing, ‘Summer Cruise in the Evergreens’ will have food, music, and entertainment for families, which of course are invited to attend at no charge. Since the announcement of the show, classic car owners and enthusiasts have shown plenty of interest and they plan to show off their rides to show goers.
Dash plaques will be provided for the first 30 registered vehicles and registration is just $10 at the track on the day of the event. There will be awards presented for the best appearing top 10 and a prestigious ‘Best of Show’ award will also be given.
Parts vendors are also urged to attend. Vendors can sell nearly under the sun, including classic, custom and racing vehicle parts. The fee for a vendor spot is just $15.
A portion of all proceeds from the event benefit the SPCA.
Sunday afternoon will feature Round number five of seven for the Tour-Type Modified Series. Grandstand admission for the August 21 event, which also has the Dirt Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Four Cylinders on the card is just $15. Children 10 years of age and younger are admitted for free with a paying adult. Mechanics races are also scheduled for the Street Stock and Four Cylinder divisions.
The pit gate will swing open at 10:30 AM and the pit entrance fee is $30 with a pit license or $40 without. Practice will kick off at12:30 PM and heat races will begin at 2 PM. The grandstand gates will open at noon.
Evergreen Raceway is located minutes from Hazleton, PA, in between routes 93 and 309.
