Bellm Set for ASCS National Tour Home State Double

NIXA, Mo. (August 20, 2016) – Kyle Bellm and the Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS) No. 14k Sprint Car team are poised for a pair of home “Show-Me State” events with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this weekend after the recent Knoxville 360 Nationals.

This weekend’s double begins at Farmington, Missouri’s St. Francois County Raceway on Saturday night before moving on to Sedalia’s Missouri State Fairgrounds for the $15,000-to-win High Roller Classic on Sunday night.

Saturday’s Farmington stop will be Bellm’s first visit to the St. Francois County Raceway oval aboard the PPG Automotive Finishes/Colorvision entry while he has already posted a pair of ASCS Regional top-five finishes atop the storied Sedalia half-mile clay oval.

“From what I’ve seen and heard, St. Francois County Raceway sounds like our kind of place, pretty tight and racy,” the driver of the VP Racing Fuels/Schure Built Suspensions entry commented.

From a first time visit to familiar grounds on Sunday, Bellm says that, “We’ve had some good runs there this year, so hopefully we can build upon that.  We’re looking forward to having two races relatively close to home this weekend.”

Bellm comes off an idle weekend after taking in Knoxville’s 360 Nationals on the opening weekend of the month aboard the Christian County Collision Repair/Bybee Lawn Care/Dynotech Racing Engines machine.

It wasn’t the Nationals that Bellm was looking for.

“We drew a bad number to start with and then just didn’t put down the qualifying lap we needed, it was too much of a hole to overcome,” Bellm explained.  “There’s not a do-over like with the 410 Nationals.

There were encouraging signs for Bellm and the Schaeffer Oil/Prater Designs/Racinboys entry.

“We were getting faster as we went along, we just got buried too deep at the start to dig out of it,” Bellm said after finishing off Knoxville 360’s Nationals in the Saturday night “C” Main championship feature event.

Currently ninth in Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour point despite missing several events in the Northwest, Bellm has his sights set on some “Show-Me State” success this weekend at Farmington and Sedalia.

2016 Quick Stats:  33 races, 1 win, 11 top-fives, 13 top-tens.
