Coming Up: ASCS Warrior Double At Lakeside and Missouri State Fair Speedway

TULSA, Okla. (September 11, 2016) Taking laps in Kansas and Missouri this weekend, the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps will be in action on Friday, September 16 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. followed by the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo. on Saturday, September 17.

The season’s second ASCS sanctioned event at Lakeside Speedway, the season’s earlier National/Warrior affair was topped by Brian Brown. A standalone event for the Warrior Region, the last time the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps headlined at Lakeside Speedway was August 17-18, 2012 which saw Jack Dover and Danny Lasoski splitting the weekend atop the four-tenths mile oval.

Race No. 6 on the season at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo. four drivers have won at the “Historic Half-Mile”. Brian Brown is the only driver with two, having won the last pair of outings. Brandon Hanks, Jonathan Cornell, and Brad Loyet have taken the other three wins.

Just off his sixth ASCS Warrior win of the season at Randolph County Raceway on September 3, Jonathan Cornell carries 183 points over Evan Martin going into the Warrior Region double-header.

Danny Thoman holds third with Austin Alumbaugh and Cody Baker making up the top-five.

Separated by 13 markers, sixth through eighth is anyone’s game as Broc Elliott leads the charge over Tyler Blank and Corey Nelson. The top-ten rounds out with Randy Martin and Lanny Carpenter.

Friday, September 16 at Lakeside Speedway gets underway with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). The night’s run of events will also include USRA Modifieds, USRA B Mods, USRA Stock Cars, and Grand Nationals.
