Evergreen Releases Halloween Screamer  Enduros Info

St. Johns, PA (10/3/2016)- Evergreen Raceway held several Enduro events this season and thanks to many drivers and fans, Enduro excitement is back in northeastern Pennsylvania. With only one more Enduro event to close out the year at Evergreen, the “Halloween Screamer” is destined to be a ghostly event.

Like past Evergreen Enduros, the Halloween Screamer will feature a 100-lap Enduro for the Four Cylinders and another 100-lap show for the 6/8-cylinders.The Open Competition cars will compete in a 30-lap show.

If any divisions surpass 100 or more registrants, that division will have two separate 100-lap shows and the two winners will then compete for the overall victory and a $100 bonus in a 10-lap ‘Dash for Cash’ race.

The track is hosting a $10 discount for pre-registration. The form is on the speedway website and must be mailed in, along with the $40 pre-registration fee. Drivers will start straight up as they pre-register, or of course register at the track on race day for $50, and they will start behind the pre-registered drivers. The transponder rental fee is $10 and pit admission is set at $25. The pit gates will swing open at 10:00 AM. The on track racing action will kick off at 1 PM.

Mailed pre-registrations must be received by Wednesday, October 26. Furthermore, all pre-registered drivers must sign in and pick up their transponder at the pit tower no later than one hour before their event. Otherwise they risk losing their pre-registered starting position.

Drivers will be warned prior to the start that they cannot pit under red flag conditions. Instead, those who wish to pit will be allowed to line up at the track/pit exit. They will be directed into the pit by an official and will not be allowed to attend to their cars until green flag racing resumes.

Thanks to CAP, drivers are urged to decorate their rides with Halloween themes because $100 will be awarded to the best decorated/appearing Four Cylinder and 6/8-Cylinder ride. The speedway is currently searching for additional sponsors to help out with special awards for the final Enduro show of the season.

Drivers and fans may see extra surprises to spice up the 2016 Enduro finale.

All of the rules, info and the pre-registered drivers are listed on the speedway website.

The grandstands are slated to open at 12 noon and grandstand admission is just $5. Children 10 years of age and younger will be admitted for FREE.
