Pro Modifieds Return as Holland’s Top Division
HOLLAND, New York (October 5, 2016) – After a concluding a wrap-up meeting of 2016, Holland Speedway management is announcing the return of the Pro Modifieds as the top NASCAR division at its storied track. With great support throughout this past season on special modified event nights, the decision was made to bring back the modified cars back for 2017. The Division I Pro Modifieds will be competing for a Season Ending Points Fund of $10,000, in addition to their weekly purses.
Opening Night of the 2017 season at the Holland Speedway will be Saturday, May 13th, with Crash A Rama events on June 10th and September 9th, the Race of Champions Modified Tour 100 on July 22nd, and the classic George Decker Memorial on July 29th. Season Championships and the perennial Bud 100 are set for September 2nd.
While the final details on the upcoming season’s schedule and dates continue to be sorted out, the excitement for the return of the Pro Modified division is clear. The post season recap also gives management a great opportunity to thank fans and drivers alike for a tremendous racing season in 2016: “This year was full of great racing action, exciting new sponsorships, and local corporate partnership, and true fan passion”, stated track General Manager Tim Bennett. “Congratulations to all our Track Champions this season, we’re looking forward to honoring all of you at our November 11th Banquet, and we truly cannot wait to have you back for our 58th year in the Spring”.
As the Holland Speedway continues to exhibit a knack for staying current with times, the track is also proud to announce a new Six Cylinder division that will be racing there this upcoming year. The Talking Phonebook Super Six’s will debut next May, and are sure to be an exciting new addition to the speedway’s lineup.
