Eggleston Eager to Kick Off New Season Saturday at Tucson

ERIE, CO — Chris Eggleston and the NASCAR K&N West Pro Series West open their season Saturday, March 18 at Tucson Speedway (AZ). The Erie, Colorado driver earned two wins and 10 top-10 finishes in 2016 and is excited to get back on track with his Bill McAnally Racing team this weekend.

“I am pumped to be back with everyone at Bill McAnally Racing and really looking forward to getting the season started,” Eggleston said. “It has been a long off-season, and with my 2017 racing plans up in the air for most of the time, I am thankful to be back in the K&N West Series for another run at the Championship.”

Eggleston won the K&N Pro Series West title in 2015, but a handful of tough races towards the end of the 2016 season ended his hopes early to repeat as champion. Now, the 27-year-old driver has his sights set on another title.

“Although we didn’t have the end results we were hoping for in the championship standing, we didn’t have a whole lot to hang our head low about,” Eggleston commented. “We had speed at almost every track we went to. We just had a few unfortunate circumstances that caused a few poor finishes. From there, we just couldn’t dig our self out of that hole. However, after the last two year with BMR, I feel like we have established a good foundation to build upon and hopefully set us up for a successful season.”

For Eggleston, kicking off the season at Tucson Speedway is a perfect fit. The Colorado driver earned a third-place finish at the track in 2016 and a top-10 finish the year before.

“Tucson has been a good track for our team for the most part. We have led a lot of laps both time we have been there,” Eggleston stated. “If not for a late-race accident the first year, we would have a pair of top-three finishes. Therefore, we have no excuse not to push for a win to open the 2017 season. I feel like we will have a really strong Napa Filter Toyota and look forward to the drop of the green flag.”
