Coughlin Visits Toyota Headquarters to Thank Employees

TORRANCE, CA – In racing it is common for teams, drivers and fans to use the saying, “support those who support you.”  On Thursday, that’s what Cody Coughlin did as he joined the entire Toyota Racing family of drivers from NASCAR to drag racing to rally racing at Toyota’s National Headquarters in Torrance, California for Toyota Motorsports Day.

Coughlin attended the event with his ThorSport Racing teammates to thank the employees of Toyota with an autograph session at Toyota’s headquarters.

It was also a chance for Coughlin and his teammates to learn about the business side of Toyota as Bob Carter, the Vice President of Sales for Toyota Motors North America gave a presentation.
“This was a really cool event,” said Cody Coughlin.  “It was really cool to learn more about Toyota, see their headquarters and learn how we’re helping them sell cars and trucks by racing their cars and trucks on the track.”

Coughlin has been apart of the Toyota Racing family for a number of years throughout his career in Late Model racing, the ARCA Racing Series and now the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with ThorSport Racing. Coughlin is also a development driver for Joe Gibbs Racing, the flagship team for Toyota in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

“I’m glad I had the chance to go to this event and thank the employees of Toyota who help us go fast on the race track.  I’m very thankful for Toyota Racing and how much they support my racing efforts in Late Models and in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with ThorSport Racing.  The Toyota family is a great one to be a part of.”

Coughlin’s next race in his No. 13 Toyota Tundra will be at Virginia’s Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, April 1 in the Alpha Energy Solutions 250.
