Arctic Cat All Star Weekend in New York Caps Off July Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 26, 2017) – For the first and only time in 2017, the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will spend a weekend in The Empire State, ready to compete at three different dirt ovals over the course of three straight days, all kicking off on Friday evening, July 28, at the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, New York.

Chasing a total winner’s share exceeding $20,000 during the weekend tripleheader, Series regulars will battle a stout contingent of local, regional and national talent during their trip across New York including three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Tony Stewart, and former World of Outlaws champion, Sammy Swindell.

The Arctic Cat All Star march through New York will begin on Friday, July 28, at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee. It will be a first ever appearance by the Arctic Cat All Star travelers to the southern New York venue, each chasing a $5,000 top prize. In fact, the Tony Stewart-owned organization has only made 17 prior starts in the The Empire State with the first occurring during the Series’ inaugural season in 1970. Outlaw Speedway will be the 12th different speedway to host an Arctic Cat All Star main event in New York.

The New York tripleheader will continue on Saturday evening, July 29, at the Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown. The peak of a near-$33,000 purse, a winner’s share equaling $10,000 will be up for grabs during the third-ever visit to Orange County; the first visit since 1989 when Bob Cicconi and Jeff Gordan each earned victories during back-to-back appearances.

Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon will conclude the Arctic Cat All Star trek through The Empire State. The Upstate New York venue, just southeast of Albany and minutes from the Massachusetts state line, will award a $7,000 top prize on Sunday evening, July 30. “America’s Series” made their first ever appearance at the high-banked half-mile on August 22, 2016. Sammy Swindell was the victor, holding off Kraig Kinser and Chad Kemenah at the final checkers. If needed, Lebanon Valley Speedway will utilize Monday, July 31, as a rain date.

Adding extra hype to the Sunday night appearance at Lebanon Valley Speedway, a mammoth purse of $39, 450 will be distributed amongst the A-main finishers with each starter guaranteed a minimum of $1,000. As an added bonus, those who do not transfer through the evening’s B-main at The Valley of Speed will be awarded $500.

Leading the Arctic Cat All Star charge into New York will be five-time and defending Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions titlist, Chad Kemenah. Kemenah, also leading all Series regulars with three victories on the season, will be flanked by over a dozen other full-time, Arctic Cat All Star travelers including the “Kunkletown Kid” Ryan Smith, New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael, and leading Arctic Cat All Star Rookie of the Year contender “Mad Max” Stambaugh.

Outlaw Speedway will open pit gates and main gates at 3:00pm on Friday, July 28. Hot laps will hit the speedway at 6:00pm, followed by racing at 7:00pm. Those seeking additional news and notes regarding ticket pricing and facility accommodations should visit Outlaw Speedway live on the Web at www.outlawspeedwayllc.com.

About the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions:
All Star Enterprises, LLC, wholly owned by Tony Stewart, d/b/a the All Star Circuit of Champions, is a winged sprint car series. The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling 410 sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing.  Formed in 1970 by Bud Miller, the series has largely been considered the first ‘outlaw’ Sprint Car organization of the modern era. After a 10 year stint as owner of the All Stars, Miller passed control of the series to Bert Emick in 1980; a reign that would continue through 2002. Guy Webb then purchased the series from Emick in the summer of 2002 and served as the series President for the next 12 years.  Motorsports entrepreneur Tony Stewart agreed to terms with Guy Webb to become the sole owner of the original winged sprint car tour in January of 2015.
