Jukasa Motor Speedway Announces 2018 Dates
Hagersville, Ontario (January 10, 2018) — Jukasa Motor Speedway is pleased to announce significant major events for 2018. We are excited to unveil five marquee weekends for 2018 that we feel will give our fans a diverse slate of racing events with the best touring series complimented by a host of great local divisions that will prove to be an exciting 2018 season at Canadas Crown Jewel. “Although there is always potential for another date to be added we felt it was important to get these dates out so competitors and fans can plan their 2018 race season, we have received several requests for different types of cars that our fans would like to see at JMS and we hope this checks off boxes on their wish list”, said Alex Nagy general manager of Jukasa Motor Speedway.
We will kick off our season on June 16th with the first oval race of the year for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series with a 200-lap race along with the hugely competitive and fasfast-growingCAAR Modified Series. The Pinty’s Series Finale held here in 2017 had an incredible finish and there is no doubt this will be just as exciting and our fans will also be impressed with the talent that will be here in the Pinty’s Series and the OSCAAR Modified Series. The next weekend June 23rd we will host the King of The Wing National Sprint Car Series, these winged sprint 410 cars are going to be unbelievable on the big 5/8th mile oval. Support classes are TBA.
July 14th will be one of the fastest days of racing seen in Canada in a long time with the return of the International Super Modified Association for the Queenston Chev 50 lap along with the ROC Modified Series. These two series both have excellent Canadian content and will be joined by our friends south of the border, it will be one of the most exciting open wheel events you will see anywhere.
September is going to be a busy time here at JMS starting with Labour Day weekend September 1-3 and the Canadian Short Track Nationals. September 1st will see the return of APC Series which is the hottest series in the Province plus the Ontario Super Late Model Series (Outlaw), these two divisions combined put on a heck of a show at JMS last year and they won’t disappoint in 2018. September 2nd & 3rd will be the second portion of the weekend with a Super Stock 50 lap Invitational and a $25,000.00 to win Pro Late Model race which will be one of the richest short track races in North America. We expect that all four races will attract the best drivers and teams from coast to coast in Canada and the USA. Many more details to come in the future regarding this huge weekend. As mentioned we will open our season with the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in June and September 29th will see the return of the Pinty’s Fall Brawl Series Finale where we will crown the Series Champion once again. Also on the card for this event is the Limited Late Models which put on very competitive races and the class is loaded with talent so we are excited to have them with us for the first time. This event was one of the best races of the year with an incredible finish and we don’t expect 2018 will be any different.
We’re very happy to welcome such a diverse group of sanctioning bodies and local classes to Jukasa in 2018. Having all these groups definitely enhance our racing program and provide our fans with a nice variety. “We are excited to get going and look forward to seeing everyone during the 2018 season,” Nagy concluded.
