Payea Takes First Win of Season in New Hampshire Governor’s Cup
Defending American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Scott Payea put himself in the early catbird’s seat for the 2018 crown by taking the win in the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup at Lee USA Speedway on Saturday, May 12. Payea took the lead from polesitter Eddie MacDonald on lap 108 and held off a late-race charge in lapped traffic for this first win of the season. MacDonald, Miles Chipman, Rich Dubeau, and Jimmy Hebert completed the top-5. More information will be available in a future release.
ACT will head to Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway next Sunday, May 20 at 2:00 pm for the opener of the Summer Showdown Series. The 150-lap, $5,000-to-win event is part of the doubleheader with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models.
