Whelen Engineering Night Features 4 Divisions of Auto Racing at Grandview Speedway Saturday Night
BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 18, 2018 . . . Just 32 points separate the top five racers in the NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modified point standings at Grandview Speedway with young Brett Kressley leading the way with 557 tallies. All five racers and many more will be looking to improve their standings in the battle for the lucrative NASCAR and Track championships as stock car racing gets the green flag on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
The night of racing will be sponsored by longtime NASCAR supporter, Whelen Engineering.
Current champion Craig VonDohren, a ten-time champion, is just 17 points behind the leader. Mike Gular, looking to become a first-time titleholder is third with 538 counters just 19 points behind followed by DIRT Hall of Famer Frank Cozze and another ten-time champion Jeff Strunk. Only Kressley has visited victory lane in the two nights of point racing run so far this season.
Actually, there will be four divisions of auto racing competition including the Modifieds, Late Models, Sportsman and the added attraction of the Blast from the Past Vintage Racers.
Danny Snyder is on top of the standings with the Late Models while Brad Grim holds the top spot in the Sportsman division.
At least 12 events of exciting clay track stock car racing will make up the night of racing action. Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters under 12 being admitted for FREE. And there is free parking available on the speedway grounds.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and that is when the Low Down and Dirty Internet radio show will be presenting their weekly Meet and Greet with drivers and cars on display. This will Sportsman racers Nathan Mohr and Ken Eckert Jr. will be there along with Modified talent Justin Grim.
NASCAR stock car racing action will return on Saturday, May 26th with the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman racers being featured.
